EA officially announced today that the next Battlefield game will be “Battlefield 1“. ” The action Battlefield 1 will take place during World War I and is scheduled to be released on October 21st, 2016.
EA also announced that Battlefield 1 the release of a special Early Enlister Deluxe Edition that will be released on all consoles October 18th, 2016 for $79.99. The Deluxe Edition will include extra vehicles, weapons, emblems, the Red Baron Pack, and the Lawrence of Arabia Pack. Also featured in the edition will be the addition of three massive vehicles. The vehicles joining the battle are The Frontline Camouflage Train, The Night Raid Airship, and the Dazzle Camouflage Dreadnought.
Battlefield 1 pre-orders also receive the Harlem Hellfighter Pack and early access to a free map. In their blog update today, EA stated that Battlefield 1 will contain some of the largest battles ever experienced in a first-person shooter. They would go on to state that players will be able to battle on land, at sea or in the air with confirmed locations so far include France, Italy, and the Arabian Desert. “The tech you’ve used in other Battlefield games was perfected during this era,” EA would continue, “the classic Battlefield DNA (will) shine through.”
Excite for a return to the World Wars comes only days after the release of the new Call of Duty game taking the battle into space. This fall looks to be an epic battle between science fiction and history in the hearts of gamers.
