Borderlands was announced today to be the newest title be supported on the Xbox One as Backward Compatible. Borderlands joins the growing list of games that will be Backward Compatible this November. If you are, and I wish I was, one of the Xbox One Preivew members Borderlands is available to play today. Owners of Borderlands, either digital or disc owners, will be able to play the game through their Xbox One and as always the best part is that all of their previously-saved files will carry over to your current console.

Borderlands was developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K and will allow Xbox One owners to dive back into the world of Pandora and continue their adventures of cel shaded mayhem. The greatest aspect of Borderlands coming to the Xbox One is the ability to play along Claptrap and your online friends who are playing on either the Xbox One or the Xbox 360.

In a quote from 2K President Christoph Hartmann he expressed that “our fans have put in dozens, even hundreds, of hours exploring the world of Pandora on their Xbox 360, and now they can continue their adventures on Xbox One.”

Xbox has stepped up on the Backward Compatibility game and are wanting to make sure their fan base is 1000% precent happy with their purchase of Xbox One allowing players on the One and on the 360 to have dozens of games to play free each year.
